Purple balls in the sky

About a year ago, purple balls were seen in the sky, causing people to panic that the world was about to end. Scientists researched these balls but could not determine their origin. The army tried to attack them, but their numbers kept increasing. Upon further research, scientists found that these balls did not cause any harm to the world and everything gradually became normal.

Army recruits students

In this episode, we follow a boy who gets off the bus and goes straight to an internet café to play games. Meanwhile, another boy in the class notices that the army has come to their school. Teachers give everyone a form to join the army, which they all fill and take home to get permission from their parents. Although the teacher seemed concerned, after-school duties are explained, and we see that everyone is busy with their work.

Training for war

All the students pack their luggage and reach school for training. They are informed that their behavior with each other will be monitored and that boys and girls will be separated into separate rooms. Despite this, it seems like everyone is having fun at summer camp, until their head instructor Lichu scolds them and reminds them that this is a serious training to prepare them for life saving. .

The hard training begins, and some children struggle while others rejoice. Mobile phones are not allowed during training, but a boy quietly walks in and shows other army men a video of him killing dangerous animals. They concluded that this only happens when there is a virus in the city and that means there is an outbreak in the city. Then a creature attacks and eats a student, but Lichun saves them. This creature comes from a large ball that was previously attacked by the military, and it is revealed that there is a dangerous virus inside the ball.

Teamwork is important

The students work together to collect the guns, and all pass except one girl, who is shamed by her peers for her incompetence. Lichun reminds them that in war no one fights alone and it is necessary to support their comrades to survive.

Build a wall

A boundary wall has been built around the ball so that if the alien creature gets free again, it cannot harm anyone. The students walk through an abandoned town, and a boy comments to the girl who couldn't make her own gun that they will have to eat without her because she was deemed unworthy of their company.

My Opinion About This Movie [  Duty After School  ]

Interesting Context: The premise of the film involving mysterious purple balls in the sky and the subsequent recruitment of students into the army is an interesting and attention-grabbing concept.

Character Development: The film appears to focus on the development of the student characters as they go through training and face challenges together. This can create a stronger emotional connection between the audience and the characters.

Themes of Teamwork: The emphasis on the importance of teamwork and supporting each other during challenging times is a positive message that may resonate with audiences.

Shortcoming:

Lack of Originality: While the premise is interesting, it bears some resemblance to other science-fiction or fantasy stories where a shadowy threat emerges, and unexpected heroes step in to confront it. The concept of mysterious viruses and creatures is not entirely unique.

Violence and Dark Themes: The summary mentions instances of violence, including a teacher attacking students and students being killed by creatures. Depending on how these themes are portrayed in the film, this may be disturbing to some viewers.

Character Dynamics: The summary briefly touches on the interactions between the characters, such as a girl being shamed for her disability. It is important to handle such dynamics sensitively and with character development in mind.

Ultimately, the success of "Duty After School" as a movie will depend on how well it executes its interesting premise, develops its characters, and conveys its themes. Audience enjoyment can vary widely, so it is worth watching the film to form a more informed opinion based on your personal preferences for storytelling and style.
